Note: With COVID-19, the Honduran government implemented mandates which restricted churches and schools from opening. The Fuente de Aqua Viva was one such school that was afected. Pastor Javier is waiting to get the okay for the school to resume operation later in 2021.
HHIM became friends with Pastor Javier Tabora ten years ago when he served as pastor of the Iglesia Monte Sinai in El Plan.
Seven years ago Pastor Javier accepted a call to another church in his home town of Villaneuva. With this church, Javier and his family took on the duties of a children's ministry in the nearby Regalo de Dios community.
Regalo de Dios is an area with much gang activity. The ministry
was formed out of concern that the kids needed an alternative to gang influence, especially during their early years, The alternative was to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ through which these kids would have hope and a path leading away from spiritually unhealthy lifestyles.
A little over wo years ago, Javier's church in Villanueva decided to cut funding support of the kids ministry in Regalo de Dios. The church offered Pastor Javier a different role with the parent church. Pastor Javier turned down the offer, not wanting to abandon his ninety-plus kids.
Pastor Javier's decision meant he would be taking on the responsibility of supporting the Kid's Ministry. He took on a second job as a taxi driver in order to make extra money to help fund Fuente de Agua Viva. With money provided by a missionary friend, Pastor Javier was able to buy the little piece of land the ministry structure is located on.
Pastor Javier needs help to keep the kid's ministry operating. In addition to annual help with kid's literature, Bibles, kid's gifts, and occasional cash donations, HHIM hopes to increase help given Pastor Javier and the kids. This increased help will have to come from support offered by individual friends, who feel led to help keep the church and school serving the kids.

A first for us in 2019! We will be doing it again in 2021.
God placed on our hearts to minister to girls ages 11-15. I have prayed for the last two years for God to give us the perfect opportunity and He showed us a way! We make personal hygiene bags and hold a class for 25 girls to come and learn about body changes, hygiene, and personal space. Most importantly, we share the Word with them and several of our ladies come and helped to pray over each one. What a blessing for me to see! We pray for God's protection, for their future, and for them to grow in their faith and love for the Lord! A very sweet time!

One of the highlights of the annual Honduras Mission trip is having the opportunity to share the gospel door to door in communities near El Plan.
Among the villages the team has worked are Regalo de Dios, Corazal, Nueva Casa, and Veinte Ocho de Junio. These areas are impoverished communities with a great need for Christian love and humanitarian aid.
In the villages the HHIM Evangelism team gives bags of rice and beans to each home visited. Each home is presented a gospel tract laying out the Plan of Salvation. Those who have been reborn are encouraged to share the tract with others who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
